Protection Necklace, Sterling Silver Bind Rune Pendant with Algiz & Othala Runes
Protection Necklace, Sterling Silver Bind Rune Pendant with Algiz & Othala Runes
Couldn't load pickup availability
Runic protection necklace in solid 925 sterling silver. The pendant takes the form of a worn, fractured stone tablet, hand-carved with a bind rune combining the Algiz and Othala runes of the Elder Futhark.
Algiz brings protection and guardianship. Othala speaks to ancestry, belonging, home and family. When bound together, the two runes form a powerful protective symbol — a small piece of personal armour, made to be worn close and carried with you.

Where it’s made
Every piece is designed, hand-carved, cast and finished by me in small batches in my North Wales workshop, using the lost-wax process — a method practised for thousands of years. No CAD or 3D printing is used; each design begins as a wax form shaped entirely by hand.
Meaning & origins
This pendant carries a bind rune made from Algiz and Othala, two runes from the Elder Futhark — the earliest runic alphabet used by Germanic peoples of northern Europe.
Algiz is widely associated with protection, defence and guardianship. Its form is often read as a raised hand, antlers, or a figure reaching upward — a mark of warding and alertness.
Othala is associated with inheritance, home, ancestral ground and belonging. In this piece, it gives the protection symbol a more grounded meaning: not just defence, but protection of what is held close.
Combined into a single bind rune, the marks become one protective symbol — a compact sign of guardianship, place and personal boundary.
